Folks;
I’ve turned in my grades (what a relief) for the quarter, and am
getting to some things I wanted to do earlier.
Thanks to Jennifer, Dan and others, we had a very nice reception for
Chuck Davey at the Soil Science Society of America meeting in
Indianapolis last month. Several of you were asking about the slide
show and the nice words that were said there. Since we didn’t have a
projector, some were really squinting to see the slide show.
I've tried to put both on the Forest Soils web site. If you are with
muito bandwidth, grande disk space, and a maior sense of adventure, you
can try and download:
http://soilslab.cfr.washington.edu/S-7/ChuckDavey/ChuckDavey-oral.ppt
(196.2 MB), Rob's Powerpoint slide show with voice narration, and
http://soilslab.cfr.washington.edu/S-7/ChuckDavey/ChuckDavey.mp4
(45.7 MB), an mp4 movie by Nick, Larry, Dan, Jennifer and Chuck
himself.
If you are less adventurous, you can download
http://soilslab.cfr.washington.edu/S-7/ChuckDavey/ChuckDavey.ppt
which is ONLY 8.5 MB.
This is the slide show without the narration. It might not make sense
unless you were there.
If you have poco bandwidth, pequino disk space and/or have menor sense
of adventure or have run out of it after trying to get these downloaded
and working, let me know and I’ll mail you a DVD for the movie and a CD
for the powerpoint file.
Sincerely yours,
Rob Harrison, Professor
