Dear Colleagues: The vacancy announcement for the Program Manager of the Wild land Fire Management Research, Development and Application Program, (WFM RD&A) a flagship science application and delivery unit with the Rocky Mountain Research Station is now open and available on USAjobs. This is an outstanding leadership opportunity within the interagency fire community to continue to strengthen collaboration between the fire science and management communities and integrate fire science findings into management policy and decision-support. The WFM RD&A Program has a national charter and provides tools and decision-support for fire managers as well as other natural resource managers and decisiomakers. The Program manager will be a primary point of contact for communication between scientists and participating field managers and an advisor to program administrators at local, regional and national levels. They will supervise a diverse staff of analysts, data managers, and operational support personnel. The position is located in Boise, ID at the National Interagency Fire Center and is part of the Science Application and Integration Staff at the Rocky Mountain Research Station.
